01 / Story & symbolism

About
the piece.

CELESTIAL WHISPER
From the Huichol collection

Adorned with intricate patterns of deep blues, golds, and silvers, “Celestial Whisper” evokes the vastness of the night sky and the gentle glow of celestial bodies. Each bead, meticulously placed, forms a harmonious design that tells the story of the stars, the moon, and the cosmic energies that guide the Huichol people.

The central motif of this piece is a beautiful mandala-like pattern, symbolizing the interconnectedness of all things in the universe. The deep blue hues represent the night sky, a canvas for dreams and visions, while the gold and silver accents reflect the light of the stars, guiding the way through the darkness.

02 / Respect for the origin

Ethically sourced.
Naturally treasured.

At Cabokero, each piece in our collection carries a story rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and respect for nature. The skulls we work with come from animals that have passed away naturally, ensuring that no harm is done in the sourcing process.

These skulls are professionally treated and handled with the utmost care, preserving their beauty and integrity.

We are proud to collaborate with 46 families of farmers across Mexico, who ethically source these skulls from their local environments.

Tradition / Meaning / Presence

Cultural symbolism

In the Zapotec tradition described by Cabokero, a naturally found cow skull carries profound meaning. Placed in a home, it is believed to act as a guardian, symbolizing protection and harmony for the household and its inhabitants. Found after the animal’s natural death, these skulls are revered as sacred objects associated with balance and tranquility in the home.

01 / Historia y simbolismo

Acerca de
la pieza.

SUSURRO CELESTIAL
